Browse permission description in the documentation seems to be incorrect

As per the doc for 9.0 version, the browse permission for private projects allow the following

** Browse : Access a project; browse its measures, issues, and Security Hotspots; perform some issue edits (confirm/resolve/reopen, assignment, comment); comment on or change the user assigned to a Security Hotspot.*

But for a user who is not a project administrator, I couldnt find the issue resolve option.

Hi,

Welcome to the community!

I guess by “issue resolve option” you mean the ability to mark an issue False Positive or Won’t Fix? If so, that’s a separate permission: Administer Issues.

Hi, Please find the screenshot. The help info doesnt match the documentation for browse permission

Hi,

Yes, we have more room in the docs to be verbose. In a help text we just want to convey the gist.

Hi,

Even in that case the documentation for Browse doesnt seem to be complete. If the user only has browse permission and not administer issues then he/she cant resolve the issue. So the info text is more accurate. Please see the screenshot below for a sonar-user with no administer-issues permission

Hi,

Okay, fair point. We need to remove “resolve/reopen” from the docs.
