Hello everyone,
Earlier this year, we introduced customizable project dashboards to help teams answer the question, “Are we okay?” at a project level. Today, we’re taking that visibility to the next level.
We are excited to announce the progressive rollout of the customizable portfolio dashboards beta for SonarQube Cloud Enterprise!
As engineering organizations grow, the challenge shifts from managing a single codebase to overseeing hundreds or thousands. Senior leaders need to see the “big picture” without losing the ability to spot specific risks. This new capability allows you to aggregate health metrics across your entire portfolio into a single, high-level source of truth.
What’s new?
- Portfolio health dashboard: We’ve added a built-in dashboard to every portfolio, giving you an immediate, consolidated view of key health metrics (Reliability, Security, Maintainability, and Coverage).
- Create your own dashboards: Build and save custom dashboards specific to your portfolios to track collective progress.
- A library of widgets: Use a core set of widgets — including historical line graphs, donut charts, and ratings — to visualize Reliability, Security, and Maintainability trends across multiple projects.
- Consistent experience: If you’ve used our recent project dashboards, you’ll feel right at home. The same intuitive “drag-and-drop” style management is now available at the portfolio level.
- Dashboard management: View, edit, or duplicate your portfolio views from a new central “All dashboards” page within your Portfolio view.
Where to find it: Navigate to any of your portfolios in SonarQube Cloud. You will see a new Dashboards item in the sidebar menu. From there, you can explore the built-in health views or start creating your own.
Your input directly shapes our development. Which metrics are most critical for your executive reporting? What widgets are you missing?
Share your thoughts in the comments below, or if you have specific use cases to discuss, I’d love to chat!
