(Beta) Auto-import new GitHub repositories!

Hello,

We are pleased to announce the progressive rollout in beta of a new capability in SonarQube Cloud: Automatic import of new GitHub repos.

Key Benefits

  • Zero-touch repo onboarding: Newly created GitHub repos are automatically imported into SonarQube Cloud and trigger AutoScan (if eligible), removing the friction of manual repository setup.

  • “Set and forget” toggle: The feature is turned ON by default for any new organization onboarding and OFF in existing organizations (admins can toggle it in organization settings).

  • Automatic project provisioning: When a new repo is created on GitHub, SonarQube Cloud will automatically provision a new, bound project in the user’s organization.

We are rolling this feature out progressively over the next few days for all SonarQube Cloud customers. You can read more about the feature, and how to manage it, here.

This is just the first step, so please try it out and let us know what you think in the thread below!
