Azure Devops Error with a new account and email

I am experiencing an issue with my SonarCloud account. I received the following error message:

“For security reasons, your email could not be linked to this account. This is a temporary measure. To link your email, please provide a new email address in Azure DevOps.”

Unfortunately, I am unable to modify my email in Azure DevOps due to Single Sign-On (SSO) restrictions. This issue is quite frustrating, as it is preventing me from joining my client’s organization et I can not work !

Please note that I have previously worked for this client but used a different azure devOps Account.
(I can give my older account and newer account in private message if needed)

Could you please assist me with this matter (desactivate or suppress the older account) ?

I notice that some poeple have the same problem but there no good solution I guess.

Thank you for your help.

Hello @areSCR and welcome to our community.

I am sorry to hear that you are impacted by this limitation and understand how frustrating it is.
We have added some information on how to workaround this issue in our documentation.

In your case, can you consider deleting any SonarQube Cloud account using the same email address but with other DevOps platforms (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket)?

I guarantee that we are doing our best to remove these limitations shortly.

Best,

Nour

Hello,

Thanks for you reply.

In fact,

  • I have no access to my older account because it is desactivated in devOps organisation, so I can not change the mail or deleted the account in sonarCloud

  • for my new account, I can not change the email because it is SSO in my organisation.

Can you change the mail for older account or delete it ?

Note: I can give the IDs of new and older acount in private if needed)

Regards

Hello Eman,

Let me help you on this one.
To unlock you, I can deactivate your old account, I just need some extra information. I will send you a private message to collect them.

Regards,
Nolwenn
