AD Synchronization for Azure Devops for Sonar Cloud user

Hi Team,

We are an existing customer of SonarCloud and we have set up Azure Pipelines to run Quality Checks.

Now we would like to enable AD synchronization with Azure Devops for Sonar Cloud login , so that the user automatically inherits all projects from ADO, could you please guide me on the same?

Thanks for reaching out. To clarify, you have 2 asks here:

  1. Azure AD sync with SonarQube Cloud
  2. Automatically importing projects from ADO to SonarQube Cloud

For #1 cc: @nour.zerhouni who can help. For #2 today we don’t support automatic project importing from Azure DevOps. It is a feature request that we have added on our backlog.

Thank you for your message , automatic project imporing is not a priority for us as of now.

However 1. Azure AD sync with SonarQube Cloud is somthing we are looking forward to set up for our users.

Any help on AD synchronization with SonarQube Cloud would be much appreciated.

If you want to enable your users to login to SonarQube Cloud through Entra ID (previously Azure AD), you can follow the steps documented here. Please note that SSO login (through Entra ID or any other supported IdP) is only available on the enterprise plan.
In this scenario, the groups will be synchronized with Entra ID, not Azure DevOps.
If your need is acutally automatic member, group and or permission sync between Azure DevOps and SQC, then that is currently not supported and I’m happy to log your request to support it.
