The tutorials to guide you in configuring a new analysis are presented to users with the analyze permission. We didn’t anticipate the bind your organization would put you in by mandating you configure pipeline analysis without the permissions to run analysis. Although in retrospect, pipeline-only analysis is what we consider the best practice so this shouldn’t be surprising. I’ll raise the point internally.
In the meantime, the documentation does have some coverage of this, regardless of how “confusing and not well organised” you find it. You may want to start here.
