I wonder why SonarQube promotes special handling of AI generated code. Also reading the docs that I found, I do not really understand what difference it makes, to flag a project as using AI generated code or not. In the end you want the same code quality, no matter if AI generated or not, or?
Is this just marketing …bingo to have more “AI” in the product, or is there a real reason which I do not see yet?

AI Code Assurance is a new feature and is evolving. It will take some time for the feature to reach its maturity.
Currently SonarQube help customers address the ownership crisis of AI-generated code by detecting projects containing AI-code and offering a workflow that ensures stringent quality and security criteria.
