Using a database for sonarqube

I am new in the world of testing and I would like to know, understand why there is the possibility of using a database oracle, postgresql … and its advantages too please.

Hello Koffi and welcome to the community!

SonarQube has to store some data somewhere. For example, what issues are found in your code. It comes with an embedded database but that one is really just for evaluation. The embedded database has a lot of limitations. Be it performance or that you can not migrate it to a newer SonarQube version. So unless you just want to do a small test, you have to use a proper database like PostgreSQL.
