Unable to Install Sonarlint 7.2.1 on Eclipse Mars 2

And a thorough description of the problem / question:

We have setup sucessfully and using Sonarlint 5.6 on Eclipse Mars 2 . And looking to upgrade sonarlint 7.2.1 version.

Installation process : download plugin and install new software.

Error while installing: “Cannot perform operation. Computing alternate solutions, may take a while”

Tried installing with 7.3, process took 5 hrs and failed with the messsage

As advertised on the Marketplace, the lowest supported version at the moment is Eclipse Photon (4.8).

Eclipse Mars was released 7 years ago, out of curiosity do you have any constraint to use it ?

I would recommend to migrate to new versions of Eclipse if possible

Yes, at the moment I have some constrains to upgrade eclipse to LTS version. Until then, I have to work on the current one (Eclipse Mars 2) only.

Could you suggest me what is the suitable Sonarlint version, Compatible with ( Eclipse Mars 2 and Sonarqube 8.9.8.)

I think you managed to install an older version thanks to this thread.

I still recommend you to migrate to newer versions of Eclipse and SonarLint.
