Transition/Migration from SonarQube Community v7.9.5 LTS to Enterprise Edition

We are near to setting up SonarQube Community v7.9.5 LTS, if we acquire Enterprise Edition then :

  1. What would be the procedure ?
  2. How will the transition happen from SonarQube Community v7.9.5 LTS to Enterprise Edition ?
  3. How much time will it take for the transition to complete ?
  4. Will we get the required technical support from Sonar Source Team to help with smooth Transition ?

Hi,

When you upgrade from one edition to another within the same version, you simply:

  • expand the new zip
  • configure sonar.properties
  • stop the old instance
  • start the new instance

& done.

If you’re upgrading editions and versions, then it’s handled like a standard version upgrade.
