There was an issue whilst processing the report

Hi everyone,

Since yesterday, I’m encountering an issue where the SonarCloudPublish@3 task fails consistently on one of my two projects in an Azure DevOps pipeline. The error is:

There was an issue whilst processing the report. Please contact support with the Project Analysis ID AZgHvwFjlUoW8dMKwqxd.

Some additional details:

  • The failing project is a .NET project
  • The frontend (UI) project works fine in the same pipeline run
  • The issue occurs on multiple branches (2+), but one branch still works
  • This failure started recently (since yesterday), but we did not change anything in the pipeline

Please let me know if there’s anything I can do to help investigate this issue.

No, we don’t use automatic analysis. We trigger the Sonarcloud analysis manually using Azure Pipelines.

Can you check your project’s Background tasks to see what, if any error shows up there? Or is this what you see there?

Thanks for the quick response. The analysis ID I posted is from the message in the PR Summary

Unfortunately, there is no timestamp.

However, the following ID is from the last failing run today at approximately 9 AM Berlin time:

##[error][ERROR] SonarQube Cloud: Error while executing task Publish: Task failed with status FAILED, Error message: There was an issue whilst processing the report. Please contact support with the Project Analysis ID: AZgHvv8QmhqJyLZ_VQFl.
