SonarQube Server 2026 Release 4

Hi all,

Sonar is excited to announce the release of SonarQube Server 2026 Release 4.

This version introduces software architecture analysis, giving you a visual model of how your codebase is organized and helping you spot where architectural drift creeps in. Alongside this, we’re rolling out a new Sonar way for agentic AI quality gates, tuned for agentic development workflows. Additionally, support for two new languages, Gosu and PostgreSQL, is now available. Furthermore, connecting to GitHub is also easier now, with a guided, automated GitHub App creation flow that handles the manifest and credentials for you.

Note: Java 17 support for SonarScanners has been removed, Java 21 is now required (auto-provisioning handles this for you if enabled).

Details are in the official announcement and the Release Notes (and full release notes in Jira). For upgrade instructions, refer to the upgrade notes.

As usual, downloads are available at sonarsource.com. Docker images are available on Docker Hub and Helm charts are available on ArtifactHub.
