Sonarqube docker image for 2025.1 LTA

Could you lease confirm on the tag which one to use if upgrading from Sonarqube 9.9.9 LTA to Sonarqube 2025.1 LTA .which tag is fine to use here from below list :

2025-lta-enterprise

2025.1-enterprise

FYI , Till now we used to download binaries from here and using the same in dockerfile.But now planning to use SonarQube official image from dockerhub and we found some discrepancy:

  1. when using sonarqube binaries we have there specific sonarqube version’s zip files like sonarqube-enterprise-2025.1.0.102418.zip , sonarqube-enterprise-2025.1.1.104738.zip , sonarqube-enterprise-2025.1.2.108896.zip , sonarqube-enterprise-2025.1.3.110580.zip , sonarqube-enterprise-2025.1.4.113907
  2. But at Dockerhub we didnt find tags for 2025.1.1 , 2025.1.2,2025.1.3 ,2025.1.4
  3. Only we can see 2025.1-enterprise ,2025-lta-enterprise ,so how we are going to use specific version here in official image of sonarqube .

Can someone please assist.

Those two tags are equivalent. Use either.

Thanks for the confirmation . But we want to upgrade Sonarqube to 2025.1.0 LTA from 9.9.9 LTA , there is no as such image present there . Please suggest.

Thanks but we have also found the tag 2025.1.0-enterprise which is more similar to the version we want to upgrade to. I hope this one is correct

Hi,

You want the latest patch version, which is currently 2025.1.4. It’s functionally equivalent to 2025.1.0, but better.

Oh ok ….Thanks for confirmation so we can migrate directly from 9.9.9 LTA to 2025.1.4 ? ….Is there any major changes /breaking changes in between 2025.1.0 to 2025.1.4 ?

Yes, you can migrate directly to 2025.1.4.

The last number indicates the bugfix version. There are never breaking or major changes in bugfixes, so 2025.1.0 and 2025.1.4 are essentially the same functionality-wise.
