Hello Forum,

New here. Attempting to upgrade our version of SonarQUBE to the 2025.5 release. I have discovered a calculator here that indicates the next upgrade from our current “Server” version: v2025.1.1 (104738) LTA is the “Community Build 25.10 release date: 2025-10-03”. How can we confirm this? If the “Community Build 25.10” is indeed the next version we should move to, is there an official procedure document available?

Hi,

Short answer: if you’re on SonarQube Server 2025.1.1 (LTA) and want Server 2025.5, you do not hop through Community Build 25.10. “Community Build” is a separate distribution/track. Your supported path is:

  1. Update to the latest 2025.1.x patch (currently 2025.1.4).
  2. Then go directly to Server 2025.5.

2025.5 is the current Server release (late September 2025). Community Build 25.10 exists (Oct 2025), but again, it’s a different artifact.

Hello Scott,

I greatly appreciate the confirmation and the quick response on our upgrade choices for v2025.1.x To confirm, we would simply download both zip files packages (2025.1.4 and 2025.5) and just install them one after the other to get to 2025.5?
