Sonar is excited to announce the availability of the SonarQube Community Build 26.1.0.118079, our January release.
Along with other enhancements, this release resolves issues with database migrations that some users encountered when updating to the previous version (25.12.0.117093).
Details are in the Release Notes. You’ll find all fixed tickets in the full release notes. Please open new threads for any questions you have about these or other features.
The SonarQube Community Build runtime now requires Java Development Kit (JDK) 21 or a later version. Note that the previous requirement of a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) is no longer sufficient; a full JDK is required. As a reminder, using Java 17 for SonarQube scanners on the machine running the analysis is now also deprecated, please find more information here.
To ensure a smooth upgrade to this and subsequent Community Build releases this year, your upgrade path must include version 25.12.0.117093. You can find detailed information in the documentation.
and where i could find it (changing lts to community in the url above got me a 404)
cheers
Daniel
//edit: i was searching for that, because i was pondering if this community build is the “base”(?) for the 2026.1(?) … (many ? typed there)
… i (think i) know that the release cycles have been set apart from commercial versions, but is it smth like “every other month it is a release - and each month community and commercial releases change”? (i hope this is written slightly comprehensible )
