Hi all,

Sonar is proud to announce the December release of the SonarQube Community Build 24.12.0.100206 (formerly known as SonarQube Community Edition).

This version introduces Multi-Quality Rule (MQR) mode and Standard Experience, support for C#13/.Net 9, Python 3.13, Java 22, Kotlin 2.0 and many other exciting features. Details are in the Release Notes.

In addition, there are a few other items to note in the release:

  • We’re making some changes with the SonarQube Community build:
    • SonarQube Community Build will be released monthly and it adopts a new Calendar versioning.
    • The .NET analysis no longer includes advanced dataflow bug detection rules. Advanced rules are only available in the commercial offering.
    • SonarQube Community Build now has basic secrets detection covering commonly used secrets. Advanced Secrets Detection is available in SonarQube Cloud and SonarQube Server.

After upgrade to the community build I get a notification about the availability of sonarqube server 10 release 8 - in general the versions at this point should be more or less identical. It seems a bit strange to prompt me to side grade at this moment.
