SMTP - reply-to field?

  • which versions are you using (SonarQube, Scanner, Plugin, and any relevant extension)
    Community 10.3 running on Docker

is it possible to set a reply-to email address when configuring email settings of SonarQube ?
I am not able to find such option. Could it be implemented in the futur?

Would you like SonarQube users to reply to SonarQube emails? Any specific reason for this?

in our organization, SMTP AUTH (from field) is configured through an O365 account managed by our IT. We don’t have access to this mailbox.

Idea is to have a reply-to field available so whenever a user receives an email from SQ, it can reply to reach our support team.
As it is standard SMTP feature, it should not be that complex to provide, although it is clearly not a top-priority need ^^

May I know in which use cases would developers reply to SonarQube emails?

It is to me just a basic feature we can expect from a tool sending emails using SMTP.

Use case:
A developer/maintainer/project manager/admin receives a SQ email, wants more clarifications, so he/she just replies to the email. Provided the reply-to address is the SQ support team, message goes to the correct interlocutor.
