We currently have 2025.X.LTA server dev build deployed from zip. So currently the server supports java 17 and 21 on the server side. It seems that the requirement for 2026.1.LTA is java21 on the scanner . Current vm’s have java17. So to convert to 2026, looks like java upgrade is required? Can the current scanners run java 21 and still work with 2025.X.LTA ? Thank you in advance !

It’s for exactly this reason that we added JRE auto-provisioning to the scanner. You can go ahead and upgrade the server without needing to scramble to update all your build agents.
