Possible to check was takes space in PostgreSQL

Hi We are using 8.9.0.43852 open source version. Our project analysis fails. With these housekeeping settings we expect the db to shrink but we still have very high disk usage on
38G /var
37G /var/lib

the partition that we use for PostgreSQL 12.

Any ideas on how to check what is taking up all the space and why housekeeping is not solving it?

Hey there.

• You should make sure you’re regularly running a VACCUM FULL on your database to reclaim free space
• You should be able to learn which tables are taking up the most space by running some commands against your database.

Thx. That did the trick. We went from:

37G /var/lib to 6.9G /var/lib
