Some of you reported that the Ruby analysis was taking a large amount of time after our release of 33 new rules in October. We first corrected an issue in PR analysis that alleviated the problem i that context.
But an issue remained on branch analysis, making analyzing large projects painful. We have taken steps to correct the problem and this has been released today on SonarQube Cloud.
According to our tests, you should see gains on the order of 45% on average for both Ruby and Apex. That being said, the gains are bigger for bigger projects, so your mileage may vary.
Let us know if this actually solves your performance problem, or if you still experience overly long analysis time for Ruby, Apex, or Go projects.
