New rules for Ruby available on SonarQube Cloud

Hi there, Ruby developers!

We have just published an update on SonarQube Cloud that brings 33 new rules for Ruby, on top of the existing 42 rules.

These rules cover both the language itself, as well as Ruby on Rails, to help you keep your Ruby code maintainable and reliable.

They are marked “beta” for now, a period during which we will thoroughly assess their quality. Please do not hesitate to share your feedback, whether on False-Positives or on the rule themselves if you feel strongly about them. If you mark an issue as “false-positive” in SonarQube Cloud, please share the reasoning and code with us by checking the box at the bottom of the dialog box so we can make these rules as good as possible quickly. Your help on this is invaluable! You can also share your thoughts on this forum, as usual.
At this time, these rules are only available when running the analysis on Linux-x64. We will extend the support to more operating systems & architectures in the near future.

These rules are available today on SonarQube Cloud, and will be included in SonarQube Server 2025.6 later this year.
