Organization level PATs

Hi,

Personal access tokens are set on project level when analyzing Azure DevOps project, we would like to have the ability to set it on organization level.

If a setup a project later on I have two choices:

  • Note the existing PAT to somewhere so I can reuse it in every new project I add later on. Unsecure option.
  • Create a new PAT for every project. PATs expire every year so I have to keep an eye on them constantly. Unproductive option.

That would be really helpful if we can set a PAT on organization level and have an option like “Inherit PAT from organization” on project level.

Thanks for your feature request, this is something we do have in our radar. I just can’t give you an ETA.

Hi there, looks like this has been deployed. Is there a way to force projects currently using a project level PAT to start using the org level pat?
