🚀 New: SCIM provisioning for SonarQube Cloud Enterprise now in Beta!

We’ve just launched SCIM-based automatic provisioning and deprovisioning of users and groups for SonarQube Cloud Enterprise. :tada:

With this release, you can connect your Identity Provider (IdP) to your SonarQube Cloud enterprise and let SCIM handle the heavy lifting of user lifecycle management.

What this means for you

With SCIM enabled:

  • Automatic onboarding :sparkles:
New users assigned to your SonarQube Cloud (SQC) app in your IdP are automatically created in your SQC enterprise with the right group membership.
  • Automatic offboarding :locked:
When users are removed or disabled in your IdP, their access to your SQC enterprise is automatically revoked, reducing security risk and manual clean-up.
  • Group-based access control :busts_in_silhouette:
Groups from your IdP are synchronized to your SQC enterprise so you can manage permissions via groups, not individuals, and keep access aligned with your internal policies.
  • Lower admin effort at scale :chart_increasing:
Whether you have dozens or thousands of developers, you no longer need to manually create, update, or clean up accounts in SonarQube Cloud.

This is another step toward making access management in SonarQube Cloud feel “set-and-forget” once you’ve defined it in your IdP. We’re looking forward to your feedback. :purple_heart:
