Hello there,

I upgraded SonarLint from v10.3.0.77475 to v10.4.0.77904 and I observed that the the button " Update local storage" is missing (Project settings > “Bind to SonarCloud/Qube” tab)

I ended up to that observation from the fact that upon upgrading to the newest version, rules, quality profiles, etc. that had been previously cached locally, didn’t work anymore.

v10.3.0.77475

v10.4.0.77904

Additionally, upon downgrading back to v10.3.0.77475, the SonarCloud rules were applied once again automatically.

Hello @Chronium,

Thanks for reaching out.

The removal of the “Update local storage” button is intended. Thanks to recent developments, synchronization with the server settings is supposed to happen automatically, in background and in real time, so we don’t expect users to manually trigger this action anymore.

The local storage should work the same way in 10.4 than it is working in 10.3. What is the problem you observe? Do you have issues raised for rules that shouldn’t be active? Let us know more about the problem, feel also free to share the verbose logs with us.
