Lost administrator access after enabling SAML in SonarQube

  • SonarQube Version 8.9.9.56886
  • It is set up on an EC2 instance
  • Ability to administer the platform without having to use the local Admin account
  • Removed and added the permissions back for our administer groups, added global permissions to administer groups, created a new group and provided it admin permissions, and tried to create names that match groups in SonarQube with AD Groups in Azure AD.

It sounds like you turned on group mapping and you’re not in the SAML groups you’ve granted global admin to.
