Loosing access to all projects, even as Owner

Template for a good new topic, formatted with Markdown:

  • ALM used: GitHub
  • CI system used: Teamcity & GitHub Actions
  • Error observed: Loosing access to all projects
  • Steps to reproduce:
  1. Change the permissions of the Default Group Template (Member) to None to avoid Privilege Escalation (users get access to projects in SonarCloud to which they would not have access in GitHub)
  2. Keep the Owners group to defaults (only Administer & Execute Analysis Permissions)
  3. Apply the Permission template to users and previosly added Projects

Result:

  1. Loosing access to all projects, even as Owner
  2. Cannot readd projects because SonarCloud mark them as “Already imported”

Hello everyone,

has anyone experienced something similar and knows a workaround? I don’t understand why not even owners can see the projects? Administer permissions should at least allow changes to the projects.

Thanks for the hint. I had to delete the projects and then i was able to add them again.
