Intermittent LDAP authentication issue on Sonarqube

  • which versions are you using (SonarQube, Scanner, Plugin, and any relevant extension)
    Currently we are using Sonarqube version v5.6.6, Plugin version will be 2.2.0.608
  • what are you trying to achieve
    We are trying to access Sonarqube application with LDAP credentials but getting error with authentication failed
  • what have you tried so far to achieve this
  • In the same network, rest of the application is working as expected but facing LDAP connectivity issue with Sonarqube application only
  • Logs from sonar.log: 2020.01.10 00:55:21 ERROR web[rails] Error from external groups provider: Unable to retrieve groups for user in
  • Network: We have checked with the network team but there is no issue with network end
  • AD: There is no traceable logs that LDAP will be having authentication issue from their end

Hi,

You’re 2 LTS versions behind. The current LTS is 7.9.2 and the current version is 8.1. You should upgrade at your earliest convenience and then come back to us if the problem persists.
