Error during SonarScanner execution java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: URI is not absolute

Hi Team,

We are having 2 developers, and both are trying to analyze .NET Core Project on Centralized hosted SonarQube 7.9 by using Sonar Scanner version 5.15 and we are using Java 11 for this.

  1. Where 1st user is able to perform analysis successfully onto the SonarQube.
  2. When the 2nd User is trying to perform Analysis, they are facing error while executing
    the End Command.

Only difference is 1st user is having Physical Machine and 2nd user is having VDI.

Please tell us the exact solution for this. Earlier we thought this due to SonarQube Version i.e 7.9 But another user is able to do analysis of same application.

Your version is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTA (long-term active version) at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:

7.9 → 8.9.10 → 9.9.6 → 10.6 (last step optional)

Yes, I agree with your point regarding Upgradation of SonarQube.

But I have explained a scenario that 2 users are working on this. 1st user is able to perform analysis successfully of same project on same SonarQube.

It’s a 5-year-old version of SonarQube. Unfortunately, you won’t find many experts who know what bugs/quirks exist in that version compared to supported versions.
