Hi,

AFAIK, Sonarqube started as Sonar in 2007 and was renamed to Sonarqube in 2013 when Sonarsource (established in 2008) provided the first Enterprise Edition .
Often people do mix the names of the company and the product, means Sonarsource and Sonarqube when the talk about the product.
Some people do use Sonar as short name, it’s the same with e.g. Sonatype Nexus, mostly the short form Nexus is used.

Indeed, as explained @Rebse, Sonar is the former name of SonarQube.
