Development of an AL for Business Central support plugin

I would want to develop a language plugin to provide support for AL language for Business Central. But I don’t really know where to start from.

So far I’m looking for any available (and possibly somewhat recent) example of a new language support plugin to take inspiration from, or some kind of exemplifying tutorial.

Several of the SonarSource language analyzers are open source. There’s also a community Rust plugin that might be helpful.

I’ve also found an old-ish post where you recomend checking out the Lua plugin. I wondered if that would still be worth checking or has since become fully outdated.

The Lua plugin hasn’t seen any updates in 7 years. I would not use it as a model.
