Hello,

I saw in a post from a few years back ( Multiple gitlab integration ) that multiple GitLab servers can be configured in Enterprise Edition, but at that time it also prevented using the Project Import feature. Specifically, that post mentioned that in 2021 “you won’t be able to benefit from the ‘Project Import’ feature, which allows you to create a project in an assisted step by step wizard …
Once you have more than 1 connection to the same DevOps platform, you will be able to create projects manually.”

Has there been any change to allow using the Project Import feature while having multiple of the same type of DevOps configurations?

We would like to keep the Import feature, but we also have multiple GitLab servers to connect.

Thank you,

Greg

Hi Greg,

Welcome to the community!

That post was a long time ago.

We’ve fixed the limitation. This should work just fine. Let us know if you hit any snags.

Thank you for the information! That’s really good to know. We also have our authentication set up through a GitLab server. Will we be able to configure a second login banner for a second instance GitLab instance so that there are two different “Log in with GitLab” buttons on the login screen?

Hi,

That’s not jumping out at me from the documentation, and I’m not seeing it in my testing (altho the fact that I don’t have valid GitLab instances to test against can’t be helping.)

I’m going to flag this for the PMs.
