Configure rule parameters without using the UI?

Is it possible to change rule parameter values via sonar-project.properties?
Are they required to be set via the UI?

Welcome to the community!

No, you can’t change rule parameter values via analysis parameters. They have to be set in the UI at the level of the Quality Profile (versus the level of an individual analysis).
