Community 26.8 unreadable notification

I have started Community 26.8 on Windows (simply unzipped after downloading) and connected to it using Edge on localhost.

On the first login, there is the usual popup notification in the right bottom corner, but the styling is incorrect and the text is rather unreadable.

I have tested a couple of Sonar versions earlier on the same Windows setup but this is the first time I see this issue.

I would be happy to debug this but unfortunately I have already dismissed the popup.

Hey @magyarimiki, no need for you to debug, I can also reproduce it myself. I’ll flag this for the devs.

Btw, the popup is per-user, so a simple way to trigger it again is to create a new user on the SonarQube instance and then log in with that user. That’s what I did

Hey @magyarimiki, I just found out this has been fixed in the recently released 26.9. In fact, 26.9 comes with dark mode by default, but setting it to light mode (your profile > Appearance) still renders the popup correctly.

Hi Andrés,

thanks a lot for your feedback. Do you have an idea if this popup is used somewhere else other than the first time notification? Because of some external plugins we would stay with 26.8 if this inconvenience happens only once.

Hey @magyarimiki, not to my knowledge. I checked across some of our internal sources and didn’t find much discussion around it. I would assume that no, it’s not the case, but if you find any, feel free to post it here. We probably won’t fix it but at least we’ll be aware!
