Can't make New Connection

  • SonarQube for IntelliJ plugin version: 11.15.0.84329
  • IntelliJ version: 2025.1.4 (Ultimate Edition)
  • Programming language you’re coding in: Java, TypeScript
  • Is connected mode used: yes (trying to…)
    • SonarQube Cloud, SonarQube Server, or SonarQube Community Build? (if one of the latter two, which version?): Server, Enterprise Edition, v2025.1.4 (113907)

I’m trying to set up my IDE in an enterprise environment where the SonarQube server is at the internal hostname sonarqube . After selecting “SonarQube server” in the "New Connection” dialog, giving the URL, clicking “Next”, and clicking “Create token”, it opens the create-token result screen in the browser and a token is entered in the “Token:” field on the dialog. But then when I click “Next”, I get an error,

Failed to connect to the server. Please check the configuration. Cause: Request failed
