Can we combine many microservices builds into a single SQ Project?

Hello!

We have an app with many microservices that each create their own analysis. Is there a way to configure the builds so that they show up under a ‘Parent’ project rather than many unique analysis?

Using 6.7.2

Any help or ideas is greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Steve

What you’re probably looking for is Applications which is an Enterprise Edition feature ($)

Thank you, Colin! I was not aware of the ‘Applications’ feature. Thanks for the quick response!

Hello @Colin ,

We need a solution same issue. We are using SonarCloud and have more than 140 projects. T
The link you shared is dead. Can you please help me with this?

Briefly, If I need to repeat, we need overall results for our product which has microservice architecture and many microservice projects.

Thank you in advance,
Furkan

Hello,
I just wanted to remind you of this thread. @Colin

Hey @Furkan_YY

Bumping a thread that is over 4-years old isn’t a great way to get traction on a post!

Applications (a type of portfolio) remain a feature only available in SonarCloud. You can vote for this SonarCloud feature here.

Unfortunately, except for recombining everything into a single project, there’s no existing cross-project aggregate reporting on SonarCloud.

Hello @Colin ,
I did not want to create another thread for completely same topic. Next time I’ll do as you said.
As far as I understand, SonarQube has this feature, but SonarCloud does not.

What do you mean by recombining everything into a single project?

Analyzing all your repositories (with your many microservices) as a single project. If they aren’t already all in the same repo (like a monorepo), I wouldn’t advise it.

@Colin can you please link me to read and understand more?

Maybe, it would be useful for us till we get the feature for SonarCloud.

Hello @Colin ,
Do you have a link for recombining everything into a single project? for the option that you don’t advise.

Hey @Furkan_YY

We recently launched SonarCloud Enterprise, which includes support for Portfolios!
