Adding comments to gitlab MRs for code smells

We are currently running SonarQube 9.9 Data Center Edition. We have this integrated into our gitlab pipelines and we see a pass / success and a link to the report.

Does this version supports adding comments against code where an issue or code smell is detected, or if we would need to change versions to get this support?

Hi,

Welcome to the community!

With any commercial edition, you can analyze PRs / MRs, and annotate the results in the DevOps Platform, but even for MRs, it’s just one consolidated comment on the MR as a whole, not at the line of code.

As a side note, as a Data Center Edition customer, you have access to our professional Support Engineers, who have actual SLAs. :smiley:

Thank you for the answer. I’ve seen the following screenshot from SonarCloud, which looks like exactly what i’m after. Is it the case that SonarCloud would be required for this?
