How do I setup security so a user can see an application listed on the main Projects page? The only way I’ve been able to have one listed is if they are in the sonar-administrators group that has global create permission to create projects/applications/portfolios. A user can’t see an application even if they are in an Admin group that is linked to a Permission Template that has all permissions checked. What am I missing or not understanding?
Hi @Jason_Friend,
A user having browse permission should see the application.
I haven’t found very detailed information in the documentation.
Perhaps we should suggest an evolution of the documentation.
Does the user have to create the Application in order to see it in the Project list? I as a SonarQube Administrator have created the Applications and can see them, but the regular user does not. They see projects. but not Applications.
Hi @Jason_Friend,
Browse permission on application allows users to see applications in project list. I tried it on SonarQube 9.9 without ‘create application’ permission and it works.
Thank you for trying to help. I didn’t realize I needed to add permissions for the groups needing to view the Application in the Application permissions. Lesson learned.
