Why Rating metrics on new code are not documented in the docs?

Hi,
we have been using SonarQube 8.9.10 Enterprise edition. I’m wondering why metrics like “new_security_rating” or “new_reliability_rating” are not mentioned in the documentation? It seems to be working but I am a bit uncertain whether I can use it and rely on it as there is no mention in the documentation. Thanks
