Usability Intended Architecture relationship

When creating relationships in the intended architecture, there are two issues:

  • No clear visual indicator where to click in the target node. When I hover the cursor over the spot where other arrows end then it turns into a cross-hair and I can create the relationship. But it should be enough to just click into the node itself.
  • When I created a relationship, the editor is still in relationship mode somehow because there is a relationship edge following it. Sometimes it is starting add the previous start node, but sometimes it is starting at the previous end node. I see no easy way to cancel the relationship mode, e. g. pressing Escape doesn’t work. When I right click in the page, the relationship mode seems to end. Browser: Edge 144 on Windows 11.

As a follow-up, I would very much welcome a textual representation of the architecture in my repository instead of a graphical editor:

  • Easier to maintain
  • Part of the source code
  • Accessible to coding assistants

Hi Christian, we have a number of improvements coming to Intended architecture. I’ve taken note to drop you an update once posted. Thanks again for flagging these issues.

This is an intermittent issue that can typically be resolved by a refresh. We are working on resolving.

That issue should now be resolved. Can you confirm?

Yes, I see the arrows now. Also, it seems, the dialog about relationships has been changed since my original message.
