Upgrade the SonarQube database to SQL Server

Hi Team,

Our users have encountered some issues and would like to inquire about them. Previously, they followed the SonarQube documentation and community guidelines to migrate the database from H2 to SQL Server. However, they would like to confirm if there are any additional parameter configuration details available.

The main concern is the frequent changes in the SonarQube ServerID:

  1. It is unclear whether the frequent changes are due to incomplete configuration.
  2. After completing the migration to SQL Server, an error occurred when starting the service for the first time. However, after a simple reboot without adjusting any parameters, the system is now running normally (Key is being reapplied).

Hi Eric,

We’re quite explicit that we don’t support migration from H2. That’s why there’s a warning on every page of the UI that you need to switch to a different DB for production.

I’m sorry we can’t help you with this. You’ll need to start over with a clean, empty DB.
