Hello. I am trying to configure SSO for SonarQube but not able to find any documentation. Please advise
Ann, can we have a meeting? I tried to follow those steps but unfortunately without any luck
Good Luck, Took for ever for us to get SAML auth working. We ended using the miniorange plugin to get saml auth working with IDP initiated from Okta
that’s why I am requesting the support, the SOP that they provided is hard to follow
Can we please have a meeting?
Ann, what values do I have to add to $SONARQUBE-HOME/conf/sonar.properties in order to configure LDAP?
Hey @olena
This is a free community forum – not paid support. It’s not possible to schedule a meeting.
On your side, I think it’s important to describe
- What you’ve tried (what configuration have you tried? where did you set it? what are the results?)
- Information you’ve gained from troubleshooting (checking the logs after you’ve made configuration changes)
In the case of LDAP – typically the same settings are used for many applications in an organization. You might want to check with the team responsible for administering your LDAP server. All LDAP configuration properties can be found in your conf/sonar.properties file.
Hi Colin,
I am looking for LDAP instructions
I need to know what needs to be added to properties file in order to have SSO
@ganncamp we have configured the LDAP, no errors in the logs, but we are unable to login
this is what I see in the access log
[29/Jul/2022:11:54:12 -0700] “POST /api/authentication/login HTTP/1.1” 401 - “http://sonarqube.com:/sessions/new” “Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/103.0.5060.134 Safari/537.36 Edg/103.0.1264.71” “AYJLScb2yP1g/WALAAAC”
Hi,
Do you have any progress on this? Seems like you are still struggling with LDAP integration.
To assist you with it, all I can do is point you to the document where all the required steps and properties that you need to configure in the sonar.properties file are mentioned.
If you are looking for the SAML SSO, you can give a try a miniOrange SAML SSO plugin for SonarQube. It is for sure easy to set up, and will fulfill all the basic requirements. In case you are looking for advanced and complex use cases in SSO, we also have a premium version. Also, I would like to mention that we have a solution for LDAP integration.
For further information and further assistance, reach out to us here, or drop an email over: support-atlassian@miniorange.atlassian.net.
Thanks,
Aditya
P.S. I work with miniOrange, the top SSO solution provider.
