Would it be possible to split the S116 rule for C++, so that public and private data members may have to match to different regular expressions ?
You might want to tell which languages are involved?!

Indeed, this rule as well as other naming-conventions rules could be more flexible. We are tracking this improvement under CPP-3749. I’ve recorded your suggestion there as well.
