We have integrated Sonarqube into the CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. Now we want to add some info about it in our Azure DevOps dashboards, and we read about a widget that may be useful, but when we try to add it we can’t see any widget related to SonarQube.
We have service connections in Azure DevOps that are working with our instance of Sonarqube Community Edition 8.9.8 (but probably updating soon to a new Community Edition version).
What else can we check or how can we integrate some Sonarqube info into the Azure DevOps dashboards?
Unfortunately, the widget functionality is only available for SonarCloud and not for SonarQube installations. So, in your current setup, you won’t be able to add the SonarQube widget to your Azure DevOps dashboards.
Can you explain what kind of data you would be interested in seeing in a widget on your Azure DevOps dashboard? To be honest – I don’t think there are many users of the SonarCloud widget.
Make sure you upgrade to SonarQube v9.9 LTS soon, not only to benefit from our Best LTS Ever™, but because soon we will systematically ask users to upgrade when they ask questions about earlier versions of SonarQube, which are now considered unsupported.
