SonarQube scanner (4.7.0) which was blocked by defender in Windows

I tried using the community edition (9.5.0) but couldn’t go through it as it required installing SonarQube scanner (4.7.0) which was blocked by defender in Windows machine.
Could you please suggest any way around that?

Hey there.

I would guess it’s being blocked because of an older version of Java being baked into the Windows distribution. Do you receive any further information about why the scanner was blocked?

In any case, you could try installing the “Any” flavor of the scanner, where you bring your own Java installation (it just requires that one is already installed on your Windows machine).

I am on java 11 and scanner is same version as you provided link for.
I didnt get much information from defender, just that this type of file might harm your computer hence is blocked by defender.
