I’m excited to announce SonarQube MCP Server v1.20.0.
This release includes long-lived branch support across all relevant tools, improved snippet analysis accuracy for additional languages, fixes for several scenarios that could previously fail silently, and a number of other improvements.

What’s New?
Important Docker image update
Please switch to sonarsource/sonarqube-mcp instead of mcp/sonarqube. New releases are published there first, and you can pin a specific version such as sonarsource/sonarqube-mcp:1.20.0.2929 instead of relying on latest.
This change follows an ongoing incident affecting the official Docker Hub MCP listing, and the documentation will be updated to reflect the new image name.
Long-lived branch support across the toolset
SonarQube MCP Server 1.20 adds long-lived branch support across all relevant tools, making it easier to work with branch-specific code quality insights in more development scenarios.
More accurate snippet analysis
We’ve improved snippet analysis accuracy for additional languages including tsx and jsx, helping deliver more relevant and trustworthy results during AI-assisted development workflows.
Improved reliability and fewer silent failures
This release also fixes several scenarios that could previously fail silently, improving stability and making server behavior more predictable overall.
Getting Started
You can get started by updating to SonarQube MCP Server 1.20.0, and if you run it via Docker, by adopting the sonarsource/sonarqube-mcp image name going forward.
