So it looks like your user is authenticating via SAML – what authentication method are you using when you get this issue?

Typically this error would appear when you’re logging in as a user with an external identity different than an existing user (I’ve pointed to what I mean by “external identity” in the screenshot you shared) but using the same e-mail address as the existing user.
Is it possible that this user’s external identity changed recently? You can update the user’s external identity using PATCH /api/v2/users-management/users/{id}
