SonarQube 9.2 released

Hi all,

SonarSource is proud to announce the release of SonarQube 9.2, which includes detection of security issues in CloudFormation and Terraform AWS files, new rules for Android development and much more. Details in the official announcement.

In addition, there are a few other items to note in the release:

  • We’ve added Bitbucket Cloud authentication. If you were using the Bitbucket plugin before, you need to remove it before upgrading. (Portal card).
  • We’ve dropped the About page which was no longer really visible since authenticated access is the default. (SONAR-15614).
  • State of Security Hotspots is preserved in case they are reopened after a temporary change in configuration or in code. (SONAR-15352).
  • We’ve added explanations about how SonaLint complements SonarQube and helps you fix issues in your IDE. (Portal card).

You’ll find more details in the upgrade notes and full details in the release notes. Please open new threads for any questions you have about these or other features.

As usual, download is available at sonarqube.org. Docker images are also available on Docker Hub.
