SonarLint not showing reliability issues

SonarQube for IDE IntelliJ Platform

  • Operating system: MacOS Monterey 12.5
  • SonarLint plugin version: 10.1.1.77150
  • Programming language you’re coding in: Typescript, Java
  • Is connected mode used:
    • Connected to SonarCloud (SaaS)

SonarLint plugin doesn’t show “reliability” issues that are detected by SonarCloud.
Is there any action to activate it ?

Hey there.

By default, rules active for your project in SonarCloud should also apply to your bound project in SonarLint.

Can you give an example of an issue that’s not being raised by SonarLint that is being raised by SonarCloud? Even better if it’s on a public project we can easily reproduce :pray:

Unfortunately, it is not a public project.
For example, the following issue is not raised by SonarLint in IntelliJ :

Thanks! I would suggest building a small reproducer (just 1 file) where you can reproduce this issue being raised by SonarCloud, and not SonarLint. It will help us a lot in debugging.

Hi Colin,

SonarLint only flags the “TODO” issue in the attached file while SonarCloud shows two issues :

  • “TODO” Issue
  • Promises should not be misused [typescript:S6544]

Do you have any idea why ?

Analyzing on SonarCloud, I only get the one issue..

Can you share a public project where you get both issues raised on this same file?
