this version is very much outdated, the newest version is SonarLint for Eclipse 7.12. Please update to the newest version and see if the issue still persists.

Installing this software Sonarlint 7.12, it is taking around more than 5 hours
Is something wrong I am doing , or generally will it take the same time ?

this is definitely anticipated, installing takes locally mostly a few seconds up to a minute. But from the progress bar it indicates some kind of issue with installation, do you have further details on that?
Have you uninstalled the old version before installing the new version? Based on the details on the failed operation it might be an issue with Eclipse and not SonarLint.
Additionally a side question: Was there a problem with installing SonarLint from the Marketplace or via the update-site that you had to install it manually from ZIP?

My server is Under proxy, so we should not download any SonarLint, So due to that I am doing it manually
