Sonar Dashboards

  • Enterprise Edition Version 7.9.2 (build 30863)
  • I have a portfolio that has 100 projects in it. I would like to visualize the results from different perspectives. DashboardA = all 100 projects, DashboardB= just 50 projects. How can I visualize different subsets of projects results in this version of sonar?
  • I tried to create a portfolio within a portfolio and associate the same project to two portfolios. This produced analysis errors on recompute - the error roughly said “project x is used several times within portfolioA and portfolioB”

Hi,

Welcome to the community!

Your version is past EOL. You should upgrade to either the latest version or the current LTS at your earliest convenience. Your upgrade path is:

7.9.2 → 8.9.8 → 9.5 (last step optional)

You may find the Upgrade Guide and the LTS-to-LTS Upgrade Notes helpful. If you have questions about upgrading, feel free to open a new thread for that here.

Once you’ve upgraded, feel free to come back to us & we can discuss how to crack this nut.

  • We have upgraded to * Enterprise Edition Version 9.4 (build 54424) and I still see the same issue described below. Do you have any ideas how to achieve the end goal.

Hi,

Congrats on your upgrade! You’re going to find a lot of exciting new functionality, including great new rules and old rules that got a lot smarter. (Hopefully you put reviewing your Quality Profiles on your ToDo list.)

For your portfolios, your best bet is probably to restructure them a bit: move DashboardB’s projects into a sub-portfolio. Then you should be able to get the graphs for both the subset and the whole.
